Children's Call with Dr. Ken Duckworth: Sensory Processing Disorder

Newcomers and visitors may ask, can a DRA program help me even with the type of symptoms that I have? Such feelings are not uncommon. NAMI strives to help newcomers recognize that a variety of symptoms are possible with a dual illness.

Several conference call participants requested having a call dedicated to Sensory Processing Disorder. Therefore, we are especially pleased to have special guest, Carol Kranowitz on February’s call to discuss this valuable topic. Carol is author of The Out-of-Sync Child: Recognizing and Coping with Sensory Processing Disorder, and its sequel, The Out-of-Sync Child Has Fun: Activities for Kids with Sensory Integration Dysfunction. She is also Editor-in-Chief of SI Focus, an international magazine that focuses on sensory integration/sensory processing. Carol received her MA in Education and Human Development from George Washington University.

Friday children’s conference calls with Dr. Ken Duckworth take place on the third Friday of every month. The calls are toll free and are scheduled from 11:00am to 12:30pm ET. To access the toll-free call, please dial 1-888-858-6021; access number 309918#. We hope that you will join them.
