Conference: From Hurt to Hope
Complex trauma and
Adverse Childhood Experiences are affecting our children and having
a direct correlation to their involvement in crime, drugs and
alcohol abuse, and abusive relationships.
This conference,
scheduled for April 22-23 in Spokane, will help educate our
community on this issue, as well as laying the foundation for a
proactive response. This event has immediate relevance to early
learning, K-12, juvenile justice, health care, child protection,
substance abuse communities and citizens concerned about protecting
children.
Keynote speakers include
Robert F. Anda, MD, Center for Disease Control; Susan Cole, JD, MEd,
author; and Robert Wolpow, PhD, Western WA University.
Conference brochure and
registration are available online below or call 509.358.7640 or
e-mail ahec@wsu.edu. The conference costs $140. Limited scholarships
will be available for professionals in the private early learning
system.
