Mental Health Forum Sponsored by MHTP

The Mental Health Transformation Project (MHTP) would like to invite interested organizations and individuals to attend a meeting to discuss priorities for implementing a public health approach to mental health in WA State.

On May 13th, 2008, the MHTP in collaboration with DSHS, SBOH, and other co-sponsors will hold a Prevention Summit. The goals of the Prevention Summit are:

  • Affirming a common understanding and vision for a public health approach to mental health.

  • Building coalescence of committed professions and consumers/families for prevention approaches.

  • Determining the policy and implementation strategies that will get us there most effectively.

  • Forging action steps for moving forward in the 2009 Legislative session.

In the weeks leading up to the Prevention Summit, the MHTP is meeting with organizations and individuals in your area to discuss this initiative and get your feedback. The Benton and Franklin Community Networks are sponsoring a meeting in your area to give you the opportunity to participate.

A box lunch will be provided. RSVP to receive a lunch. For more information, call Judy at the Benton-Franklin Community Networks Office below or email David Brenna at brenndc@dshs.wa.gov.
