Miss
Tri-Cities, Kristin Cox Receives First Runner Up and Scholarship
Honors at Miss Washington Pageant
In preliminary and
finals pageant competition July 11-12, held over two nights at the
Pantages Theater in Tacoma, Kristin won in two categories, including
evening gown and talent competition, receiving $1,000.00
scholarships in each.
In finals competition
held Saturday night, Kristin scored very high on all ballots,
finishing second only to eventual winner and new Miss Washington,
Janet Harding of Yelm. The competition was webcast statewide from
misswashington.org.
NAMI congratulates
Kristin Cox on her amazing performance and representation at this
year's state pageant, as well as her tireless advocacy on behalf of
those struggling with mental illness. All of us in the Tri-Cities
and eastern Washington are very proud of her.
